For anyone who had the surgery....

Did your surgeon tell you anything about the maximum number of carbs you should eat in a given item? Our surgeon said to follow the "Rule of 6" -- make sure everything we eat has less than 6 grams of carbs and 6 grams of sugars.

I'm just wondering because a lot of the products other patients recommend through the Internet, etc. are usually a lot higher.

Mine didn't mention this for carbs, but somewhere I got the "less than 5g sugar" per server in my head. I can't wait until my follow-up appointments this month - I have a million questions!

My surgeon said once that I should have only 5 carbs per meal. I didn't hear him correctly and thought he said "NINE" so the entire time while losing, I tried to stay on or near 9! I still met my goals in record time though.
