So...a couple things that kinda stink.
1. Since about last Thursday, my left thigh has been numb. Around Friday, I started to get crazy shooting pains from my left upper thigh / butt area down to my knee. The entire left side of my thigh is still numb. Luckily, it does not effect much like my ability to walk, but the pain is (pardon my french) fucking *intense*. People I talk to seem to think it's sciatica; I just hope it goes away soon.
2. Today I woke up feeling unbelievably, extremely, incomprehensibly tired. I woke up around 2pm (after sleeping at 2am) and went back to bed again from 4pm-6:30. This isn't normal at all for the past 5-7 days. I've been getting up before noon, and rarely napping. I also have had a really icky tummy (sorry if TMI) and a low-grade fever. Tonight, while I was hanging out with my parents, I nonchalantly began to gently rub my most tender (left side) incision because it was just throbbing. I realized the entire area right underneath the incision is tight and swollen, like a ball is under it.
I don't know if it is dried blood, swelling, an infection...and I don't technically know if it relates to my exhaustion today, but it could be. The exhaustion could also be because I'm not getting many nutrients -- today I ate two tablespoons of tuna salad, a protein shake, and a slice of chicken maybe 2 oz worth. This really isn't enough fuel to keep anyone going, and if my body has run out of nutrients from *before* the surgery, I could be crashing -- which is normal and my body will calibrate.
Anyway, I have an appointment tomorrow at 1pm to get my stitches out, so I will talk to the nurse about both these things. I'll update once I know something :)
