OMG I haven't updated this blog in days and days. I guess time flies when you aren't in immediate post-op recovery. :)
Things have been OK. Steady is probably the best word to use. My general doctor has me on muscle relaxers, and nerve pain medication. My leg is still numb but I'm not having the intense, periodic pains anymore. Actually, it's my thigh that's numb-er. On the left-hand side. As a friend put it, "I could cop a feel and you wouldn't even notice!". This is true, so hands to yourselves guys!
I've named my pouch Lily. It's pretty and kind of feminine, like my pouch. I know my pouch is female because she's extremely dainty and picky about food consumption. (Ok ok, start the gender debates in the comments).
Anyway, Lily knows what she likes and what she does not like. Lily likes low-fat turkey hotdogs, low-fat cheese, lettuce, fish, sashimi, and some lunch meats. Lily does *not* like any form of vegetable (tried green bean chips at my Mom's...not a good idea). Lily absolutely despises chicken off the bone. It's way too dry, and ends up feeling like a bowling ball behind my breastplate. These dangerous foray's into unfamiliar food territory usually have me spending copious amounts of time literally hanging my head into the toilet and waiting for Lily to expel the foreign mass (aka chicken). Most of the time, I keep it down but it doesn't mean I'm not waiting for it to be ready to come up. Ugh!
So I just added lettuce last night actually, and had 3 pieces last night. And then a couple more pieces of lettuce with lunch. Nom nom vegetables. If anyone asked me the hardest thing about this, I would say "not having fruit for the first four months". Seriously, it's bugging me more than the fast food or sweets, which I don't even care for. JUST GIVE ME FRUIT! Ok that's my brain yelling, not Lily, so don't. Keep away, evil fruit!
I'll let you know in 3 more months when you can come back.

I don't have a "nickname" per se for mine... I just call it "my tummy"... usually after eating, "my tummy" doesn't feel too well. I'm beginning to think she is a hypochondriac!
You're hilarious.
I promise not to give you any evil fruit. :)
