Home from the hospital

Tonight I finally was discharged from the hospital. I did not enjoy my stay there, to say the least. I did not feel the nurses were attentive. Sometimes I waited a good 30-45 minutes to get pain meds after calling. The first day, I had a catheder and pain pump, I didn't get out of bed. It was kind of nice and lazy and drugged. But yesterday they took the cath out in the a.m., and switched me to oral pain meds (liquid hydrocodone). They don't give that out on a schedule...which silly ol' me didn't know...so I'd wake up in pain, call for the nurse begging for meds, and wait..and wait...and wait...

I also would recommend for anyone getting surgery not to do it somewhere so hot as Florida. My room was about 100 degrees, it was naaaaasty.

I did take some fun hospital photos I will upload when I'm not so tired. The little things are making me tired and right now I think I will go rest.

I have some amazing friends. I love you all.
